People of the Cemetery
The interactive feature below shows an abbreviated version of the Polk, Alexander and McCleary family trees. Out of the 101 burials in the Polk cemetery only eight of those have identifiable names on their grave markers, which informs the graphic below. In actuality, these families were much larger than shown in this illustration.

Ezra and Charles Alexander Memorial Markers

On September 11 the Polk Site in partnership with the Daughters of the American Revolution dedicated two new memorials at the Polk cemetery; one for Charles Alexander, who's burial site is unknown, and one for Ezra Alexander, buried alongside his wife in the Polk Cemetery. Both men served in the Revolutionary War. In this way, they are honored as heroes who fought for the sovereignty and freedom of the
Untied States of America.
